Tidy up the text
Title & artist header
Make sure the font size of the title & artist header is about 5 points bigger than the rest of the text (e.g. using the Shit+Ctrl+- and Shit+Ctrl++ shortcuts)
While you’re at it, check that there’s no vertical spacing between the title and the text (e.g. using the Shit+Ctrl+Page Up shortcut).
Split long lines of lyrics
If a line of lyrics spans over two lines, actually split it in two lines (using Enter) and add 4 spaces at the beginning of the line to show that these are indeed one and only line of lyrics.
Tip
Generally, you might want to split the line where it makes sense musically/grammatically speaking.
However, keep in mind that you could try to split it differently, e.g. to free up more space on the right in order to fit something else there.
Combine short lines into one line
Look at each pair of lines from the same group of chords and see if you could fit them on the same line
If, within a same section, several pairs of lines are combined, try to align the - signs vertically to make it look nice—but remember to keep some space on the right.
