Overview
What chords to play for a given section?
The chords are simply attached to the section where it is defined, i.e. they’re directly nearby its name tag. Find more about how to actually read the chords.
When a section is re-used, just play the same chords as when it was defined (unless mentioned otherwise).
Looking at our previous example, here are the groups of chords:
C F Am G - C F C-G Cfor the[Chorus]section (in red), as well as for the two Verses since no chords are attached nearbyF A7 Dm A#m - F C F Cfor the[Bridge]section (in green)Cfor the[Fill]section (in blue)
What about numbered sections?
Unless [mentioned otherwise][different], a numbered section uses the same chords as the other sections of the same name. For instance, [Chorus #2] will use the same chords as [Chorus].
In the below example, the section [Verse #2] is first defined (in green). It shares the same chords as the [Verse] section (in red). When it’s re-used (in purple), those same chords apply.
