The sections are ordered from top to bottom and from left to right.

In our previous example, the overall structure of the song is:

  1. First the [Chorus] (played in Arpeggio)
  2. Followed by another [Chorus]
  3. Followed by the [Bridge]
  4. Followed by the first Verse
  5. Followed by the [Fill], another [Chorus] and another [Bridge]
  6. Followed by the second Verse
  7. Followed by another [Fill], another [Chorus] and another [Bridge] (played in Arpeggio)

Top to bottom has precedence over left to right

In other words, whenever you see one or more re-used sections on the right of another section:

  • As long as these re-used sections are near the top of that other section, they should be played first
    • see the group of sections n°5 in our previous example
  • To the contrary, if they are near the bottom of that other section, they should be played afterwards
    • see the group of sections n°7 in our previous example
