How about chord changes within the same bar?
Indeed, a measure can contain several chord changes. When the lyrics are aligned with a chord change in the middle of a measure, they are underlined in bold:
| Type of underline | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Bold solid underline | Chord change in the middle of the first bar of the line |
| Bold dotted underline | Chord change in the middle of the second bar of the line |
For example:
Am F C G
I am a passenger
Am F C E
And I ride and I ride
Am F C G
I ride through the city's backsides
Am F C E
I see the stars come out of the sky
Am F C G
Yeah, they're bright in a hollow sky
Am F C E

Note
In some rare cases, the lyrics are aligned with a chord change on a quarter of a bar (e.g. second or fourth stroke). When that happens, the lyrics are underlined with a double underline. For instance:
F7 A# Dm Gm
And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain
A# C7 F
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders
F7 A# Dm Gm
For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
A# C7 F
By making his world a little colder
F7 C C7
